Our Story

Pillars of Vices started the way most great vices do: with one friend handing another a book and saying, "You have to read this." That recommendation turned into late-night text threads, too many bottles of wine, and a book club that quickly became more about the people than the pages.

By day, I'm a cybersecurity consultant. I spend my workdays solving complex problems, managing risk, and living in a world of technology and deadlines. But every day, I looked forward to the moment I could close my laptop, pour an espresso martini, and disappear into another world.

Along the way, I met incredible women who shared that same need to escape. What started as a few readers gathering around a table became genuine friendships, unforgettable conversations, and a community that felt like home.

Eventually, I realized my office wasn't serving me the way these stories and these friendships were. So I gave it up and transformed it into something different—a home library and book club designed for escape.

Pillars of Vices is a place where you can leave everyday life at the door, pull a book from the shelf, pour yourself an espresso martini (yes, they're on tap), sink into a cozy chair, and lose yourself in a story. It's a place to laugh, cry, scream over plot twists, fall in love with morally gray fictional men, and meet people who understand exactly why you stayed up until 2 a.m. to finish "just one more chapter."
